Collaboration
Collin believes collaboration allows solutions and improvements to be maximized. It also allows workers to have input on what improvements are made to their work conditions. Collaborating with all stakeholders (workers, supervisors, management, etc.) allows for the implementation of solutions and interventions to have a higher rate of success.
Innovation
Innovation is a trait that Collin emphasizes the importance of, because ergonomic solutions can be implemented in many different ways. By utilizing innovation, Collin is able to provide short-term and long-term solutions. It is also important to be able to identify various solutions to identified hazards and risks due to possible limitations from budgeting, the environment, or time constraints.
Excellence
Collin has a passion for excellence. He believes that improvements that are implemented should not simply be “good enough”. By taking the time to thoroughly conduct an assessment and compile the report, Collin is able to provide solutions that would maximize the improvements made for the worker and organization.
Respect
Collin believes that respect is vital when improving any work environment. Respect involves recognizing each person’s values, ideas, time, and space are valuable to the process. Respecting workers and administration helps facilitate a positive working relationship for everyone involved when improving workplace ergonomics.
